Mindfulness, Movement and Meditation
a weekend retreat with
Kate Bendall & Kovido Maddick

Tirimoana-Whare-Roa, Karitane, Dunedin
Kate and Kovido will be running a weekend retreat at the amazingly beautiful location of Tirimoana-Whare-Roa, Karitane about 45 minutes north of Dunedin.

It will be a mixture of Meditation, Yoga, Movement and Relaxation. This will include walking meditation and some Osho Movement Meditations. Some parts of it will be in silence and others will include discussions. Some experience of meditation/yoga is probably helpful but beginners are welcome.
We really want you to trust your intuition of what you need so you are welcome to join in what you want to and leave what you don’t want to. Alternatively you can sit drinking tea, looking at the gorgeous view, going for a walk or having a rest.
We ask you to bring what you need for breakfasts and lunches and any special dietary needs. We will provide a light meal of soup and bread on the first night and a vegetarian meal on the second night and tea, coffee, herb teas, biscuits and crackers in between.
The cost will be:-
1)$200 per person for shared rooms includes linen and towels – 9 people
2)$150 for bringing own linen and sleeping on the covered verandah which has the fabulous view but not so much privacy – 5 people
Kate Bendall is an experienced Yoga teacher who has been teaching for 15 years enjoys guiding people towards a deep yoga practice based on their own inner guru, the breath
Kovido Maddick has been teaching meditation and mindfulness for about 20 years. He also rubs backs and co facilitates a Mens Group. He was a Buddhist Monk for 10 years, with the Thai Forest tradition under Ajahn Sumedho, but is very eclectic drawing inspiration from many different sources.
